YOU ULTIMATELY JUDGE THE CIVILITY OF A SOCIETY NOT BY HOW IT TREATS THE RICH, THE POWERFUL, THE PROTECTED, AND THE HIGHLY ESTEEMED, BUT BY HOW IT TREATS THE POOR, THE DISFAVORED AND THE DISADVANTAGED"
-BRYON STEVENSON
Our Mission
The B4 (Breaking Bread and Building Bonds) Community Club is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and meaningful social connection within our school and beyond. We aim to break down barriers, build bridges, and foster a welcoming environment where everyone feels seen, supported, and inspired to engage.
“STRENGTH LIES IN DIFFERENCES, NOT IN SIMILARITIES. OUR RICHNESS AS A COMMUNITY COMES FROM EMBRACING THE FULL SPECTRUM OF HUMANITY WITH RESPECT AND LOVE.”
— STEPHEN R. COVEY
About The Founder
Samuel Miller, a military kid who has moved seven times and attended six schools, knows firsthand how isolating school can feel. Encouraged by a teacher, he founded B4 Community to foster kindness, connection, and inclusion. He has shared his journey through a self-published book and a documentary, and continues to lead B4 Community’s events and initiatives to help every student feel seen and supported.
In a time of increasing deep division fueled by powerful voices, the B4 Community seeks creative and meaningful ways to bring people together. This documentary follows member Samuel Miller as he travels across Europe, meeting people from all walks of life to explore how everyday individuals can actively help heal a divided world.
As a B4 Community member, Samuel shares his journey of ultimately turning personal challenges into meaningful efforts to spread kindness, connection, and inclusion, reflected in his self-published book. Through his experiences, he shows how small acts of empathy and understanding can inspire others to create welcoming, supportive school communities.

Bring B4 Community to YOUR School!
In 5 Easy Steps!

Creation Process
Creating a B4 Community Club is a seamless process designed to welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds. From signing up to becoming an active member, we guide you every step of the way. Here are some easy ways to start:
1. Propose Club to Admin - being an official club usually allows you to do more with creating events.
Once you have done that, here are some easy things that you can do that our CMHS B4 community does:
1. Create a group chat among members and send the "random act of kindness" out every day (from the "Random acts of Kindness Calendar" - which can be found above in B4 Community Curriculum)
2. Make sure that no one eats alone at lunch
- ask people at least once, but don't push it - some people want to sit alone
3. CMHS has a courtyard and we introduced equipment like ping pong tables and 9 squares to create community - so maybe do fundraisers to buy community - increasing things
4. Try and get on the morning announcements at the beginning of the week - create a "kindness challenge of the week"
5. Host events like "No one eats alone day" (which is a national event) and even your own community building events like a tournament
